Construction Progress

Grading is moving full steam ahead at Cadia Village Matthews! The first phase, set to finish by December 2025, will prepare the land for beautiful new single-family homes and townhomes by David Weekley Homes, along with the realignment of Stallings Road to improve connectivity. The second phase is also underway, shaping the future sites of the Active Adult Flats, Cottage Homes, and Village Retail—on track for completion by Q3 2026. Together, these milestones are laying the groundwork for a vibrant, walkable community designed for every generation.

Leading with Improved Roads and Thoroughfares

In partnership with NCDOT, Cadia Village Matthews is enhancing local transportation to support safer, more efficient travel for everyone. The contract was awarded to J.T. Russell and Sons Inc. to complete the work for the Idlewild Road widening, the Idlewild Road and Stallings Road roundabout, and the realignment of Stallings Road to the roundabout. The construction will begin in October of 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2027. These upgrades aim to ease traffic flow, improve safety, and enhance pedestrian connectivity throughout the area.

Stallings Road Detour

The Cadia Village Matthews construction team has worked with the NCDOT to construct a temporary detour for Stallings Road traffic.  Traffic will utilize the detour until the permanent, new Stallings Road and roundabout is completed by the NCDOT’s contractor.

New Homes Taking Shape

David Weekley Homes will bring a variety of new living options to Cadia Village Matthews. The first phase of lots will be complete by the end of 2025, with a model home debuting in early 2026 to showcase seven thoughtfully designed floor plans. Homes range in size from 2,740 to 3,450 sqft.

Active Adult Flats and Cottages
Elegantly designed homes intended for those 55+ seeking a lower-maintenance, wellness-focused lifestyle. These homes will blend thoughtfully chosen architecture with upscale, comfort-driven finishes, nestled within the heart of our walkable mixed-use neighborhood. Opening in 2027.

The Wellness Center
At the heart of Cadia Village Matthews, the 8,000 sqft Wellness Center serves as the community’s gathering place and holistic health hub. Designed with a spa-like atmosphere and a focus on whole-body wellness. This thoughtfully curated space offers a range of amenities to support an active, balanced lifestyle. Residents can enjoy a lap pool, saunas, and serene relaxation areas, all just steps from home. The center also features a fully equipped fitness studio, peaceful spaces for yoga, meditation, and social connection. More than just a clubhouse, the Wellness Center is where healthy living and community come together. Opening in 2027.

David Weekley Homes For Sale Townhomes
Ranging from 1,730 sqft to 1,750 sqft, the townhomes will bring a fresh blend of style, convenience, and community living. Designed with modern layouts, these homes are perfect for families, young professionals, or those simply seeking the ease of a lock-and-leave lifestyle. Homes will available starting summer 2026.
