Construction Progress

Cadia Matthews began grading in October 2024, marking the exciting start of bringing this thoughtfully planned community to life. Since then, construction has been moving full speed ahead. We’re making steady progress toward delivering the first phase of homes in 2026, which will include a mix of for-sale detached and townhome residences by David Weekley Homes designed to fit a variety of lifestyles. As the community begins to take form, we invite you to check out our progress photos and follow along as Cadia Matthews grows into a vibrant place to call home.

Building a Smoother , Safer Journey

As part of the Cadia Matthews community benefits, we’re enhancing local transportation to support safer, more efficient travel for everyone. In partnership with NCDOT, improvements to Idlewild Road will include widening it to a multi-lane, median-divided roadway between Barney Drive and the I-485 Inner Ramps. NCDOT has selected a contractor, and work is scheduled to begin this fall with completion anticipated in early 2027. These upgrades aim to ease traffic flow, improve safety, and enhance pedestrian connectivity throughout the area. Additionally, Stallings Road will be realigned with Davis Trace Drive, featuring a new roundabout to create a safer, more streamlined intersection for drivers and pedestrians alike.
